AIFIP - ongoing

Website to follow

The Association of Insect Farming & Its Products (AIFIP) is a sectoral organization dedicated to advancing insect farming in Kenya. They were seeking a company to design and develop their website that is meant to function as a central hub for their activities, information dissemination and community engagement.

Kick off

During a 30 minute kick off meeting, I organized a structuring and navigation brainstorm to fully understand where the team wanted to go with this website. As the Request for Submission document was written without input from the entire board, we had to realign on what was important and what could be skipped.

As this website will be used throughout Kenya and in remote places, we discussed the need for a mobile first and easily accessible website regardless of a users’ internet connection.

Wireframing and testing

With the structure in mind, I created a total of 10 wireframes with a mobile first perspective in Figma. These were translated to a desktop version afterwards. From the wireframes, clickable prototypes were setup. These prototypes were linked to the Lyssna platform were both mobile and desktop were tested for customer journey and understanding.

Building

As of now, all the research, wireframing and testing is finished. Together with AIFIP, I am currently gatherin all the copy and imagery from members of the association.

Additionally, I have started setting up the WordPress backend and building the first pages.

Content will be added to this post as I go through the entire project.
